Yvonne Gibbs is founder and principal of Puzzle-Pieces located in the Metro Boston area and Nantucket Island.
My childhood as an “Army Brat” formed early on the need to be organized and flexible due to the constant moving around the world. Because of these experiences, I became a highly independent individual and creative problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills having dealt with all types of people and situations.
Having held diversified positions over twenty-five years in the technology sector, I continuously honed my organizational and project management skills. Jobs ranged from: software engineering, design analysis, sales and marketing management, operations management and investor relations for companies from startups to the Fortune 500. Working with small/medium size businesses to multi billion dollar companies, while being responsible for project budgets from $25,000 to $2,000,000 and for sales upwards of $ 100,000,000 provided me the opportunity to interface with all levels of management including entrepreneurs and senior corporate executives. All of these positions essentially came down to effectively managing a project from start to finish while directing a team or being an individual contributor. This skill set is very complementary to professional organizing and productivity consultancy.
Moving and maintaining multiple homes throughout my life has provided hands-on knowledge of what it takes to balance home and office life effectively.
My private life revolves around my husband and our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels – Sheba and Remington, where we all spend time going between Boston and our vacation home. I enjoy sailing, estate auctions, reading, the movies and going to the beach, while keeping organizational projects constantly in mind.
I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) as well as its New England chapter – NAPO NE.
